Geoeconomic Monitor

This dataset provides estimates of the share of firms’ earnings calls in a given quarter that mention the firm’s business or decisions being affected by tariffs, sanctions, and export controls. It further distinguishes between firms discussing the impact of current policies and firms discussing the impact of future policies as well as whether the firms discuss the impact as being positive or negative. The data is constructed using the methodology in the paper Geoeconomic Pressure (2025).
